Question is there some sort of video that I can watch on rebuilding the steering suspension and possibly the adjustment of the power control valve. Because I have no clue I had my mechanic install it he said it was very tight down there with all the new parts but where he's adjusting it doesn't seem like it's in the right spot I don't know anything about the car itself underneath I'm just trying to slowly rebuild it but had to have everything redone for me I'm not that mechanically inclined in that aspect of old cars.

There are dozens of rebuild videos for Mustang front ends on youtube.

Basically applies to Maverick, Fairlane, Falcon, Mustang & on & on.

Mustang from 1968 to 1970 & Fairlane/Torino thru '71 use same or similar components as about any year Maverick. Centrelink & idler arms are Maverick specific with three distinct setups between '70 & '77. I used '77 Maverick link on my '72 Comet. Individual pieces do not interchange but any complete assembly fits any year.

Here's a YouTube search on the Bendix power steering control valve. The system was used on cars in addition to Mustangs and Mavericks, including Corvettes before 1992. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bendix+power+steering+control+valve+adjustment

I am not a fan of this system. It has far too many places to develop leaks. The Borgeson power steering box is probably the best solution, but I see the cost has gone way up. If you said your capabilities as a home builder were higher, an Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) conversion would be a good option, but there's no shame in not having those skills.

Jut my opinion, of course. Someone is likely to see it differently and say so, and that's their right as well.
