I was reading through Randy's site about the control valve and all that and he mentioned following a specific measurement for how far to thread the control valve back on to the center link. It specifically said don't go by what it was because it may not have been right to begin with. Does anyone know what that measurement or indication is? I seem to have misplaced my book...

The Ford service manual states, thread on steering link until about four threads are still visible.

Great, thank you! Put it on with 4 threads left and looks about right to me. We'll see when I finish connecting it and pressure it up.
