converting 4 dr bench seat to a 2 dr bench

does anyone know if u can take parts off of a 2dr seat and convert a 4 dr seat so it can recline ?this question was brought up in a coversation i had with a gentleman today

wasn't a Mav. but I converted a 4 dr. to two dr. and installed 2 dr. seats.

 

Bench seats never reclined. You can shorten the bump-stops on the 2-door seat so that it leans back further though.

Pretty sure you would have to get a seat from a 2-door. Why do you want a seat that folds forward on a 4-door?

 

I believe it could be done, I think it would have to be done much like the example shown above. It would appear that you would just have to remove a bolt from each side of the arm frame work. I have converted 4 door bucket seats to fold forward and was an easy task and the bench seat should be constructed the same way just without any arms in the center of the seat.

 

i found a couple of very nice 4 dr seats that i was just curious if they could ne made to use in a 2 dr car
