The Comet runs a Griffin radiator Summit P# 56242-X which measures 27-1/2" inches Wide and 19 inches Tall with a 3" depth and lists for $277.00 currently on line. Its a Double Core with 1-1/2" Cores . Normally the cores are 1" inch. We also welded two bungs for sensors to the Vintage AC unit . Bill also had to " notch " the frame a little to accommodate this size. He also fashioned two " cradles" with rubber inserts on the Lower area and a "removable" brace on the Top in the event we ever have to remove the engine for any reason there will be less obstructions. This holds the Radiator firmly in place with no movement. There is a SPAL fan with its shroud mounted in Front of the Radiator that is for the AC unit and is only activated when the AC is functioning. I have an override switch inside the car that can turn it on if need be for additional cooling . ( not used yet). The INNER fan is a MARK 8 Lincoln Fan and Housing . We replaced the motorwhich is from 93-to-96 years . Bill placed the Griffin on the table and attached the original Lincoln housing /Shroud to the radiator with rubber inserts to cushion the shroud to the aluminum portion. THEN he installed it and we hooked up the hoses. We've posted a few photos which may help if anyone is considering this type of install.

Oops! Not accustomed to posting photos .. sent the earlier post by touching the mouse on the "side" button ..I was about to add ... we installed an " overflow" tank just in case . Also Joe B .. you might want to consider a different steering setup M11 ? . There will be a problem fitting " headers" in the car without some additional room and there are several other factors that will be important also that you'll have to address with the installation of any 351 or 427 size block into one of our type cars. I wish you success with your project . Its a real grin having a larger engine in these cars but there is also a Lot of Work associated with it. Lemmeno if I can help .

That's a big radiator! Thanks for the input, I know what I need to look for now.
