4 doors are usually a Sedan and a 2 door is usually a coupe...

if you really want me to answer that, then i say its a maverick :)

but i would say mine is a coupe, since it is a 2 door

my numbers say that my 73 is a grabber sport sedan, since we weren't given a choice as a coupe or fastback then I say sedan.?! JMO

I still think that since NADA considers it a sports car, we should too. Most insurance companies use that as a source so we probably are paying sports car rates.(y)

I have never heard of a Maverick referred to by anyone as a "sports car".

"Usually" does not mean always, and in the case of the Maverick and Comet, it's never...

on the first page of this thread there is a link to the NADA site. took me about ten minutes to figure out which vehicle type it was. not listed as muscle car, not listed as family car, etc... finally tried sports car and there it was.

    it's not a coupe or a sedan...

it's the 'simple machine' or 'jazzy firecracker', but I just call mine 'the first car of the '70s...at '60s prices!'

    :rofl2:
