hum thanks for offer however i'd still need the frame cuz it is used to support it. the frame is cut dupe in fiberglass the hood is molded without the frame.

3 inches.. i think jayman is in your area or at least near you... you should go check it out there to see if it will work on your car.

haa haa haa i just left you a message. it will explain why.. doh! yes it does qualify for contingency.. you win you pay me :biglaugh:

Could you not get the frame off a straight hood located on the left coast. That would keep from destroying a good Grabber hood.

I think he is requesting that you find the frame of a non-grabber hood to use with his skin.

Why could you not mold the skin and then use a generic square framing for the finished product? This is what the other companies do... they have the outward shape, but just a square frame under.

    Just wondering...

The frame is shaped differently on the grabber hood due to the scoops.

I have a grabber hood with the typical lip rot that would be perfect for this but shipping it is the killer.

I don't remember how different they are...
I have had several Grabber and flat hoods, but never paid attention.
I have seen it posted on this site though that Grabber skin can be grafted to a flat frame without issue. So, even if they are different, it ought not be enough to make a difference to producing a mold... Especially if the skin was used with a custom framework underneath like aftermarket hoods.
