So with the GT40P heads and the Mustang Cast Manifolds you do not have any spark plug or plug wire clearance issues?

-No Sir! They fit very well! The GT40P heads have "Straight" plug alignment like a Chevy and the E7TE's (Or other type 5.0 heads) have angled plug alignment so those manifolds would give you fits on any other head than the GT40P. I correct myself to say There is one spot on I believe the passenger side manifold where the corner of one cast pad that just "BARELY" touches the shock tower and has rubbed a spot of paint off the shock tower the size of a pencil eraser.......but sitting still there is plenty of room 1/8 to 1/4" gap with NO contact at the narrowest point.... so must only be when the motor torques under acceleration or cornering... Everywhere else theres 4-5 inches or More ....room between manifold and inner fenders....I have seen headers much tighter than these..... and plug wires come down from above and exhaust porting is from the bottom...plenty of room there. As I said Extrude honing them would open them to breathe better but that process is very expensive no matter what the product your having done.....for the cost shortys would be better....but I like the stock look...you just gotta tweak a little more out of the motor to make up for the added weight.....I will try to post the casting number of the manifolds I have for you tomorrow... theres oodles of room between firewall and Steering shaft/Power steering gear as well....so theres good angle and clearance to tighten the manifold/exhaust pipe....not quite as much as a header collector but but from underneath....I had no issues with a deep well and impact gun..... hope this helps you out.....

Right (Pass) Side P/N is C4ZE-9430-A and Left (Driver) Side is C3CE-9431-B verified to be mid 60's (65-67) Mustang Hi Performance 289 Manifolds. I found a Mustang joint out in California selling them for almost $300 a piece.... so $600 a set. Mine came with the car. And I was mistaken....the plugs on the GT40p's have a very slight "Cant" to the rear....Nothing compared to the angle on the E7TE's but on the GT40p's with these manifolds there is PLENTY of room!!

Sorry for going MIA....but between deployments and Prepping for our Major Air Force HQ inspection recently I haven't had much time to catch up with the board.....oh and not to mention actually working on the Mighty Ol Mav and getting her back to life!!! Yepper thanks to a donor 1987 5.0 HO I got her back on the highway!! today was day five and so far clicked off just over 500 miles on the new(ISH) motor....and knock on wood she is strong as ever!!!! Hate to admit but them newer motors make much better power without breaking the bank.....I was cringing a bit to have to resort to the 5.0 swap.....but damn she runs sweet!!! next on the block is a cam swap, and 5-speed upgrade and of course a posi...... but can only take one bite at a time!!!

I actually got to meet my deadline and got her back on the road for the NSRA Street Rod Nationals held here in Louisville this last weekend...damn what a treat that was!! Rolling in thru the gate with all the other HotRods as a "Card Carrying Participant" is "Priceless"!!!!!

THANK YOU to all of you that supported me with great advice and encouragement!!

Anybody know where to get a good Manual car pedal set?!?!? cause she is literally Screamin for that five speed...like -3000 rpm running 70 down I-65.......Screamin......
