I hadn't thought of it that way. I guess I'm going to end up with it only having the bend in the middle and the rest of it kind of fudged in. The prices are rather cheap on the site and you get a lot of material, too so I can play around it seems.

This grille material is not too stiff. Stiff enough, as it's meant for cars, but I assume the sheets are.... well not soft, but "bendy". It's tough to explain. it's pliable without being weak. if I'm displeased with it's durability then I'll brace it from behind. It won't be noticeable. Of course, I'll have to keep weighing it throughout the process. Does anyone know how heavy those Brazilian ones are so I can compare? After my normal over-measuring and procrastinating I'll take pics of my process and share any findings. if it goes well, you guys might be able to twist my arm to get me to do more.

I may end up having to buy a brake...

In the end probably. Luckily I'm mildly connected in my small neighborhood. :dancing:

I see. I just need to have it at my dispose so that when I wake up from dreaming (at 2am) about an idea I can run out to the shop and see if it will work. None have yet but the cold air is refreshing :rofl2:

I better hury and finish mine before someone says they started this project first .
It's not that I havn't been trying, I have. I did find some dificulties with the round tubing kinking when they are bent and I tried several ways to get around the kinks but no such luck. I can get the tubing bent to the correct angle, but I have to slice it on the back side and if I want it to be of quality I need to weld the tubing and grind, sand etc... too labor intensive.
Like I mentioned, I do have something (a couple actualy) in the works so be watching for it.

Only problem is 4' is not long enough to do a Comet grill end to end. I have a brake but the stuff I'm using is pretty thick and made out of steel. Getting the angles right is not easy.

I have not measured but I don't think it's more than 4' from the "grills" end to end. That grill will be easier to tackle once I get the plan down for the Mav one, I think...

I found a place the chromes plastic. Only cost $40 to do my grill. I think it came out great. So does that mesh you want to use.
