Dan; if you go to a hobby shop, get he clear windshield maker, can't remember the mfgr. Auto Motif has it, in Smyrna. If I go up there soon, I will check it out. Scale Modeler or Car Modeler also has it advertised there, at least they used to. Had a great time at Moultrie. Earl
the hobby store should have something real close to what maverick1970 is talking about, the only thing you would have to do first, is paint the back side of what ever you are going to coat white,(i used spray paint) this will keep the paper from becoming semi- transparent. i made several clocks with pictures using the epoxy.
Thanks .... I probably won't get to it until after the holiday but I'll let everyone know how it turns out ..
Here is my first prototype. It in enclosed in 1/8 inch of clear plastic resin ... same stuff that clear paperweights that have the bugs in them are made out of. Notice I got an air bubble in it. This was just a quicky ... I gotta get some molding compound to make a mold of the center cap for the final product. If they come out well I'll make some extra's for eBay .... It sorta makes the print appear three-dimensional underneath so I am very happy with it ...
DM- Can you send me via e-mail details of how you made those. I have 1 clear and colorful Comet center, the others are faded. Or, would you make some from my cap? redcometgt@aol.com Seth
