    cut vs loop

The original in my '74 GT was cut pile. I replaced it with loop.

I got the loop 80/20 also for my 74 Comet...I think I will take the backs off the bench and take it out that way....looks like less damage to doors if its a tight fit....plus I'm sure a fews pound lighter to move..

    Installing carpets

I'm in the process of installing the carpets and here are some pictures. The carpets fit nicely but need a little time to settle after being in the box since october.

Cleaned up the floor and painted with two component polyurethane paint and installed new tar mats on the rear floor.

Just a heads up for bench seat folks...

The bench will come out pretty easy whole.
    However, be very careful!!!!

My wife helped me once and was in a hurry, just a quick nick on my door panel tore it all to heck. :(
Not terrible, but a little bump and the wood grain insert got about a inch square gone in the blink of an eye. They were perfect before that milisecond.

    Be careful.
