    Exterior Paint going on...

Posting as Jean sends me pics. The black is already sprayed (yesterday) and today the silver is getting sprayed, then clear coat everything. I'm on the edge of my seat, if I lived closer I'd have to be over there....

This will look better than the stallions did originally, with the base clear system. Don't want to jump the gun but congratulations! Lookin good.
Makes me want to repaint my stallion, if it weren't for my dollar problem.

Do you have any pics of the stripes Jean masked toward the headlight area? Mine is different from side to side.

That's all the pics so far, but they'll be more I'm sure. Hard to believe it started out as a white "grandpa car" with a rattle can red bottom....

Hey that was a big step up from a "Grandpa Car" because it has SPORT MIRRORS!:dancing:

lol, yeah you're right! Actually it's pretty loaded up for a Maverick... sport mirrors, air, tinted glass, power steering, power brakes.... two bad he didn't opt. up to more power with a 302 engine, oh well, maybe someday....

I think Grandpa thought he was really making it a "cool car" with his red two tone paint job....

    Almost done...

Jean just sent over this photo, it's almost done. The bumpers are at my place (had Tri-City re-chrome them) and I've got factory alum. slotted rims with new BF Goodrich Radial TA's ready to install. I'm meeting up with Fred Carello at Spring Carlisle to have him re-cover the seats and door panels. Hopefully sometime this summer I'll have it all back together, completely finished....

    And one more...

I was lucky and scored a NOS set of Stallion decals, and after 30+ years, the adhesive was still good....

Looks great....I assume you are going for the original look; but that things would look super-bad IMO with some black rims!
