Thanks John for all your hard work. I know this has probably been a major pain for you. I was just wondering since I hadn't seen anything for a few weeks about it. I figured most got theirs at the roundup, too bad I wasn't there.

Update On Dash Caps Purchase - 25 Aug 06

Sorry all for the lack of keeping everyone up to date on the purchase.

So here goes. I just ordered 13 more caps today and as far as I can tell, that was for the people previously listed that have sent in payment.

John, who is S. kearns that paid you in Post# 281

Also, does the number of caps needed for members who paid, reflect what you have?

We may put in another order later for those who asked but did not get in on this deal in time for the cutoff. Basically, if your name is not on the list in Post# 272 OR you have not sent payment to John, then you will not be receiving one. :tiphat:

Maybe those who for what ever reason don't want their cap can let you know and you can sell them to those who are ready to pay...?

I see you have a poll now for people who have not received their dash caps. I just logged on to ask when it will be sent. If you just ordered more on 8/25, how long will it take to get them and then ship them? I don't want to be a PITA either, and I appreciate all the work John has done on this, but geez I want my dash cap already! :deadhorse

    Roz,

I believe John was having an issue finding boxes to ship them in . And again, my parental duties and my duties to my job kinda took me off in another direction for a bit of time.

I would like to have mine too, but I would rather have it in a good, well packaged box than have it arrive broken wrapped up in those boxes we receive stuff in from China. (Dollar Store)

    Thanks, Roy

I'm thinking the box will be more than a dollar.:drink:

I will check into all those questions...:D

I am still working on boxes, If I cannot come up with something in the next week or so...I will just go to FED-EX, UPS, USPS (whomever you chose) and buy the boxes from them  I hate it that it has taken this long...these boxes are not as easy to get as I had thought (Maybe I should have done some homework before volunteering :( ) either way within the near future I will start shipping in order of payment recieved.
    Thanks for your patience.
    John.

I think you'll probably have to have the 12X12 ones. I just shipped one in a home made box and I had to use a fairly large diameter box due to the shape. But still, $2.75 is not bad considering how much time I wasted making that one box.

Message 48 has the size as: A box size of 60" X 15" X 12" with the weight being 25lbs per box.

The 12" x 12" might work with the dash cap put in at an angle. Or two 36" x 18" boxes could be taped together. But that would add $5.00 to the total cost.

You'd be better off making a triangular box to ship these in. Much stronger than a square box and they cant stack stuff on top of it.
