Why would you want a new dash pad if the cover looks this good? I know a picture is'nt like seeing it in person but, that looks awesome!! It really relieves some of my anxiety about the dash in my Grabber, it's TOAST. Those seats look amazing also
Well cutting I am gonna have to do, and LOTS of it. The rear lip of the cap does not even reach back far enough to go over the back of the pad in the middle of the dash. My pad is so hard and brittle that if i push on it with my finger the thing just shatters like peanut brittle. I may have to take the pad off to trim it to fit the cap.
There are lots of pads floating around with just a crack or two that you can probably get for much of nothing. Maybe someone close to you has one they aren't going to be using. Sounds like it might be better than what you have. And if you're thinking about taking yours off, no sense in putting that one back on.
I am gonna try to cover one of the old ones I have with blu jean material. I might even try to place a pocket in it somewhere and put my insurance card in it lol.
Got it to fit Well it took a LITTLE trimming with my primary and secondary fineness tools, but I got it to fit. Snaps on snug with no glue. I included a shot thru the wind shield because someone had asked. You can see the gap. I either need to trim some more or seal with black caulking.
smegnl, looks like you could use one of these new 69 mustang inst. lense: C9ZZ-10887-A I got one for mine and it's so clear I can hardly see it. I also put in LED bulbs and painted the inside of the cluster white as suggested on here. And I have the autocrafters dash cap from JC whitney. Clipped on fine with no glue. Now if only my brakes worked...
I got all the outside lights working, but my dash lights do not work. The high beam, signal indicators work, but that is it. Did those mustang lenses fit this cluster, or did you have to do something to them?
Yep. Like rayzorsharp said. It is the same lense. The 2 small ones it comes with are no use to us though. Here's with the new lense and the dash cap. (I gotta get a new steering wheel)
Any ideas where I can get an old dash pad? I've looked locally and online but haven't found anything.
