ddnt kno where 2 post

    May not be an audio question but does a 75 have an ignition accessory switch i see that i can turn 2 the accesory but i have no power wanted to checc if i can oower my radio without having the ingintion in the on position or running....if not would i nd a new ign. Switch of could i get the accessory tab for the fuse box and run that way??

    Thank you, i got it figured out ddnt have a hot wire with the accessory on so i removed the ignition switch and ran a wire from the accessory hot 2 the switched wire in the radio harness it worked!!! if its not a bother tho i have a ? About tht. Now i have my switched ign. On and my accessory on runnung both 2 the switched wire in the harness is this acceptable if not where would i find another accessory on connection in a 75 mav??

    Also another?....since i installed the radio my ive been having a power issue my batt quiccly goes dead without the car running but itll charge jus not enough for me 2 start her up. I will replace the charging system asap but wanted 2 kno if yu have any suggestiins on wht i can do about that.

    Get a new battery, or use a good quality ripple charger on your battery, sometimes that knocks the sulfur off the plates and makes them work like new again.

    Also, stop running your stereo with car off... That's murder on an old battery.

    New radios run clock and memory even when everything is turned off, and that will drain an old weak battery if it sits too long.

    Battery is only about 2 mos. Old but 2 day i pulled the charging system will mor than likely order new parts sometime the end of this week nd install nxt week sometime thnx fir the advice Ne1 kno where i can get a alt. To reg. Harness complete with fusable links

    theres a repop harness for sale if you search for it. runs about 50 dollars. I suggest upgrading to a 3g though. Its easy peasy. My car loves its 3g.
