After a year of rummaging though photos and magazines i'm still frustrated by my lack of decisiveness toward a paint job.

the interior is blue- the original navyish blue. So the body colour must be some what complimentary. I want to bold and very eye catching. I want to maintain the classy look of the comet but look very muscly at second glance. And I can't seem to stay set on a certain design or even color scheme.
Am I just being a yuts are did you guys have a difficult time with deciding too?

With a blue interior, you are kinda limited. For me, blue is my favorite color, and there are many shades of blue I like. A nice bright white would also look good. Maybe white with stripes or accents the same color blue as your interior.

well i hate being limited by color... but i love blue too so im happy. i've been thinking either light or dark blue with some extent (god knows how much) of black or white stiping. I'm bit of an artist, i think i could draw up some designs to decide.

i don't have the means to do any of the body work myself... and i'm wondering how hard (how much money) is would be to put the vinyl back on the roof

Cool!! IMO black tones things down and hides details. That why I hate blacked out stuff and black interiors. Lighter colors brightens things up and brings out more detail.

i agree black can be good for anchoring the eye in certain places. But all black is not as interested to look at i think.

back to one of my previous questions: how hard (how much money) is would be to put the vinyl back on the roof

i've heard of people painting between the chrome trim on roof to simulate the look of vinyl, but that seems a litle tacky. maybe it's just me

As far as I'm concerned, the Grabber (Mavericks) and Comet GT (Comets) paint scheme is the only way to go...

Haven't been around lately ... between remodeling my kitchen, watering sod and yard work I've been busy. Here is the link on my VINYL top install ...

    http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=19099

I refused to pay the $500 quote I got locally so did it myself for around $120 or so ...

I have since got a set of the A-pillar Vinyl top trim from Craig like he showed in the above thread. I haven't had a chance to install them yet.

thatnks you the link, although i'm thinking a about going with the roof only type of vynil the strip that goes form the rear window to the windsheild

    example: http://mmb.maverick.to/gallery/showimage.php?i=1322&original=1&c=14

thats what the car originaly had, and should be consiterable easier to do.

If you need any of the trim pieces for that kind of roof I have a set off a 75.
