Doing well...trying to stay cool. Bummer about having to get a new a/c unit for the house. Not a good time for that to break! Not doing much with the Maverick either...but I do drive it every Saturday or Sunday morning...early.

My son's house had the same issue. Replaced the compressor, but it still is struggling in this heat. I spent last weekend pumping insulation into his attic.

Anyway on the Maverick front, I'm still gathering parts for the injection. Got the computer, injectors, throttle body and a new intake. Now it's all the little stuff that is going to cost a fortune. All the sensors and stuff really add up. First there is the wiring, then the learning curve on the software. I'm hoping that it will be ready by October for the opening day of WHP.

on a side note... anyone know which way the stock motor mounts go on the car... the offset to the rear or to the front?

And what a pain in the culo is to align the guide-plates... get them lined up and then torque the stud and the shizz moves..argh!!

Any of you AZ guys have an extra 6 cyl front suspension spring that you want to sell? Just need one.

Let me know if you do.

    Thanks
    Tim

I've got some springs you are certainly welcome to. I have 3 pair. Some Eibachs (cut down), and two pair of Maverick springs. I think that one pair is cut down, and the other pair is not. But I cannot tell you if they are 8 cylinder or 6.

Ive made a temp fix but still may need a new spring. I cut it and don't like how low it is. Just installed some air shocks in the back and now wish I hadn't cut the spring.

Saturday Night Car Show in Phx

My neighbor has talked me into going to a car show Saturday night in Phx. I don't even know where it is, lol. Supposedly a lot of cars going. Anyone else going?

I removed my back seat earlier today and noticed how short the strap was for the clip side of the seat belt, and I was thinking how that would work well for bucket seats especially if I grabbed some of those plastic sleeves from a salvage yard. I'm tired of those long floppy bench seat clips that keep trying to pop apart...

I went to the one at the Kmart on 67th Ave and Bell last weekend and was disappointed. I don't know if it was the threat of rain or what, but there was only about 25 cars there. It's just not a car show time of year quite yet. Let me know how it goes though.

Found out this is a benefit for the 19 fallen firefighters at Phx metro center mall, SE parking lot from 5-9. They are "Hoping" for 1000-1500 cars. It's gonna be Hot!

Wow, it sounds like it is going to be a big turnout! Metro Center was my old stomping grounds back in the 80's.
