any of you guys use the wilwood brake kit for the front? I have been thinking of getting rid of the granada style disc brakes my 76 comet has.. reason is to loose some weight, not a fan of the cast iron calipers

Hi everyone...as usual life has got in the way and I have not been on the site for some time. We usually get together for a mini-meet around this time but Thanksgiving is already upon us and December does not look good for me. What do you guys think about getting together some time in January...like maybe the 15th or 22nd? If Mixteca works for everyone we could try that again...I do have another club that occasionally gets together on Sunday mornings at the Bosa Donuts on Central and Indian School also. Whatever works...let me know. I'd like to make it an official MCCI mini-meet and get it in the next newsletter. Thanks!

Hey Gene, good to hear from you. It's been crazy for everyone I think. I'm just sneaking some work back on the car, and these meets always get me energized to wrap up the little projects I have going on.

Weather permitting, I'll try to make it down. Any of the options for me are as good as the others so I'll leave it to the group for the date, time and location.

January! Wooohooo! This works for me. Typically December is really difficult for me due to my work schedule. I should be able to make one after a long drought! And with it at Mixteca, I can probably drive the car there (not always easy with the slicks on the car). Thanks for setting this up Gene and please keep us informed on a date.

How about we set it for the 15th, with the 22nd as a backup/rainout date?

That's exactly what I was thinking! Let's make it official then...Saturday January 15th from 4pm to 8pm or whenever we get tired...lol. January 22nd will be our rain out date. Let's gather in the northeast section of the lot by the Autozone like we have done in years past. Looking forward to it!

I will let Craig Selvey know so he can get it in the MCCI newletter.

Hello everyone...one of our Maverick/Comet members...Mark Kapron who lives in Gilbert... is looking for an older running Ford that he can give to his nephew...something decent enough for a daily driver for no more than $5000...if anyone knows of someone who might have something let me know and I can forward on to Mark.
