Man, if that was a Maverick. I'd of been there with cash in hand. Need to go into Casa Grande tonight anyway.
making the wife happy and not having to hear here complain was motivation enough. she got used to the remote start I had in my focus. so when we traded it in on her mustang she wanted it again. Plus a dark blue car with black leather can get kind of hot. And the kid rides with her most of the time so cool off or warm up is good for him too. But im just fine in my old black mustang with black interior, I can sweat it out.
The Granada is just a four door deluxe maverick I think its pretty cool. Dont really like the wheels though. But its in better shape then my 93 mustang.
Dont plan on me showing up to that car show on saturday. My car is down for now. Have no spark. need to do some testing to see what went bad.
That must be it. Too much power and putting out the flame. first time the car was on a tow truck that wasnt because of blowing a stroker motor. Atleast this shold be much cheaper to fix. Glad I got the haggerty tow coverage this year.
Whatchou talkin bout Willis? Your car is always on a trailer. I do blame you for the rain today. It may be my fault becuase im the only one that drove a maverick today. but maybe tony planned on washing his car or something and the rain gods heard about it.
Nope, my hands are clean! I had no intentions of leaving the house today. And the Maverick found it's way to Central and back all by itself. The only trailers were the ones that I passed on the road.
Wow thats quite the drive for a garage queen. Is it running better now that you are cycling the old gas through it?
It's starting to. That carb still has issues though. I'm going to give it one more try, then I buy one that is already built. Did the research on fuel injection and unless I hit the million dollar lottery I'm not going that route.
With new head gasket in place I went back to the dyno this morning to see how it was running and to try a few things. I made 4 pulls while doing some carb and timing tweaks to see what worked the best. My best pull was 162.93 hp with 198.04 ft lbs of torque. My previous best on our dyno day was 157 hp and 192 torque.
Nice job Gene. I need to fins a couple more ponies in mine just so i know it has a full 300. But my attempts at improving actually cost me power. Im goig to have to go back and try again another time. When I have more time to tinker with it. Now you need to get a good day for racing and get a new best.
