Keep it up Craig. I want to see this thing with some color on it. I was reminded today that my maverick does not run. I had to push it out of the driveway to make room to work on my Mustang. Had to put a new clutch in it. Not a fun job at all.
I got some color commin. Geez Bro...already burnt a clutch? Lead Foot. Thing 1 and Thing 2 built a nice spray booth for fenders and such. We will pour cement in the north patio and build a rotticerie in order weld on the frame connectors then grind, blast the crud off the belly of this beast and paint it in a few weeks. then build a spay booth on the cement pad. This will take some patience and time. I think you will like the paint on this car, its out of the box for Mavs.
Looks good Craig. Or it WILL look good when you get it angled for down force instead of lift. I cant stand a wing that isnt angled right and doing the opposite of its intended purpose.
The stock one on my Cyclone used to always droop in the back. I agree though, needs to be at least level if not a bit angled down.
Ill need to make some mods to it before paint. The slot for the angle adjustment is Bottomed out, Ill proly make a new one.
Or at least thats what I thought till I looked at it again. The adjustment was Bottomed out to the rear, it has more travel to move it down. I geuss the stock wings could not be adjusted.
Just got my cylinder head back from the machine shop and it checked out fine. No bad valves and it's flat...no warpage on the mating surface. Time to pull the motor and get that number one piston out. I need some help wrestling the short block out....who's up for some Saturday morning wrenching?? I'm thinking July 21 or 28.
