I don't know where exactly to put this but here's something I have been playin' around with. Body is hand painted with Sunshine Yellow alcohol paint (was originally a red 1974), working on making it a small bumper model, pov dog dish drag steelies from the '47 Ford Coe Hauler, and for now it's just a spare time project I've been playing with. I have 2 more '74 Yellow models that I will probably mod 1 of too.

LMK what y'all think ... pretty cool or what ? I had fun with it so far but it's not finished yet

Looks cool, love it...Is the coe diecast also, or is that a resin body kit bash??

Try ebay for wheels and maybe other non Maverick specific parts. I just also look at other 1/24 die casts for different wheels and or mods for parts (example Walmart sells the fast and furious Charger and Cuda from the movie = possible to get a full smooth faced steelie in brushed aluminum or salt flat style kidney beans + hood scoops & spoilers) .... I was and have just filed the bumpers down so they recessed in closer to resemble skinny bumpers vs the whale of a step bumper lol.

The Coe is definitely die cast and I love it a lot .... the bigger chrome wheels under it are directional !!! I was amazed because most people never OCD about it in real life but I dislike wheels that look like they turn in reverse from side to side .... hope that makes sense ? It's also a 'root beer brown metallic' which is a amazing color in person and then top it off with ol'school scallops and pinstripes (y)

Oh also watch ebay if you also want a metal 1974 1/24 Comet die cast also. I have seen a few on there but unlike Walmart's Mavericks they aren't $9.99 for the American Classics .... of course evilbay has them from $10 - $30+ shipped but we all know Comets are only worth what somebody will pay for them in parts

I've been building for years...Have a couple die cast mavs myself...Going to do one as a Sprint, some day. LOL... Gotta finish a few projects for a few upcoming shows first though. I hear you on the directional wheels thing, seen it many times. Going to have to keep my eyes open for that COE...I like it.

I'm not really brand specific but from left to right - '47 Coe Hauler, '55 Chevy (able to be factory ride height or slammed low - pictured slammed low on Torq Thrust IIs), '56 F100 on steelies & wide whites, '57 Corvette on modern style gold and chrome lipped 'meshies', '57 Suburban (able to be factory ride height or slammed low - pictured slammed low on Torq Thrust IIs), '64 Thunderbolt ( I owned a 4dr clone with a 260 V8 I miss that car and this is my reminder of it as mine was the same color) and of course the Mavericks I tinker with. I have a few more but they're GM & Mopar - GTO Judge & a Purple Hemi Cuda and God knows what else stashed away somewhere .... I just love cars from an Era that was Long before my time

Same here on space and building / buying stuff. If I had a bigger bed room or space in the garage I would start a massive die cast collection

 :rofl2: I wish !!! I owned a '74 project that I sold, 20R 4 speed, ran for $250 when I bought it and flipped it $600 after just a minor tune up. I posted this as my sig because everybody has been hating on imports lately but these cars were built to look like Mustangs and Resemble some of the Maverick's body styling IMHO. This particular car was a google search with a Lexus SC400 4-liter fuel injected V8.

I totally am with you on wanting to build 1 of these in my life time with an american V8 .... bet with a LS or even a 5.0 these would scoot like every other little light weight fighter we know of ;)
