What happens with HB if the PS belt or pump fails? Is it just like manual brakes at that point?

Hum..... hasn’t happened but I would assume it would affect it . Hose failure, pump, belt all might cause issues. On my 75 Comet with the HB it’s a track car for autocross and I’ve recently made it street legal . So it’s taken some heavy abuse an has been problem free to this point. Being disabled with loss of muscle control I would say I’m not so easy on braking as I don’t have that so called “Touch “ with my feet. So the HB is very very responsive but I had already changed over brake setup before I progressed even farther with my Ataxia.
Nothing is totally problem free when making parts fit our cars because manufacturers have no respect for Comet/Mavericks to make them specifically for us . They thumb their noses at our car’s. So I’ve made stuff work from the Dodge HB parts, mustang rear link setup, Jones racing power steering, Etc. even the Lexan front windshield from a late model Mustang coupe. Our car’s are Awesome looking to me but making them preform takes more work cause we don’t have all the bolt on stuff !!! That’s what drew me to the 70’s Comets... it takes more effort
