Terry1 here. Had a blast attending this event. Melody (wife) also enjoyed it. This was the first time I had the Merc out from the house, for more than a mile (test runs) in three years. Merc drove great and after the meet, we drove over to Franks house and installed the newly rebuilt rearend (new gears {3.55}, new bearing, seals). Everyone jump right in and the chunk was in quick. Thanks to Frank and the gang for their help. The young guns were there and they were busy learning the curves of installing the rearend and honestly....very interesting in this work. It's nice to see young men interested in the old hot rod world. But anyway, I do thank Frank for getting the rearend rebuilt earlier this week in only a few hours....and the nice paint job he applied to it....and all the help from the pit crew installing the rearend. ALSO....the pit crew figured out why my new disk brakes were dragging and now they work great. The ride home was pure enjoyment. :thumbs2:
Thanks Gang, it most certainly is appreciated. Looking forward to the next meet.
Also, I would like to thank the lady who kept reminding me not to bump my head. I lost count of how many bumps I had but her help eliminated probably a dozen.
    Oh, and HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE.

We had a blast today. The weather was great...I think it was around 75 degrees. Counting Frank and Effie's grandson, if I counted right, we had about 24-1/2 members. Terry1's Comet was looking good next to the other Mavericks. As always, it was great to see everyone again. Here's a link to some of the photos I took today. http://dixiemaverick.com/2013DixieMaverickStampede/index.html
