Maybe, Safelite won't even install one here, at least not properly, they want to use urethane for the install.

I talked to one of their installers about installing one if I got the glass...he said "no problem, they install just like the one in that Ford ranger truck sitting there"....I passed...:yup:

Just eyeballing a wider Mustang will give you clues to that little fact.

And I did not know that. Thanks for that little tidbit, Eric. Now I know what to look for while trying to keep weight down. :thumbs2:

Makes me also wonder how many of the drag-only guys know this info. :hmmm:

Wow, no gasket? ..... up here they sell you the molding gasket if needed.

Quote from Safelite web site for my zip code:
    Windshield $318.72
A molding is required for your vehicle. This helps surround the glass for proper installation. $50.23

What I found to be a problem with them installing it is they won't wait for me to install the headliner.. My local guy said he will so I went with him. I hope he remembers when I call him. It has been two years now..

I did like Moneymaker there Gene, I did it myself. Not that bad of a job, but it helps to have a helper to keep pressure on the outside while you pull the rope in.
