Those $150 subframe connectors from JRGARAGE on eBay are good quality. They are weld in, not bolt in. I bought a set a few months ago, and they fit nice.
For a car such as yours, I would give it an 8 in importance to have subframe connectors. These guys are right, once you have them...you will wonder how you ever lived without them! The most obvious thing on my car was that if I jack up the right rear the right front will come off the ground as well. It would never do that before the connectors.
Subframe connectors make a major difference in the stiffness of a unibody car.I usually make my own but I also have access to everything I need. Also no matter how fast the car is you should not have more than 12" of rubber fuel line on a car.I've watched a car burn before and they go up pretty fast.Especially if you have an electric fuel pump. You would be surprised how slow your reaction is to turn it off when it is on fire and you panic.Fire extinguishers, helmets, and other safety equipment is all cheap compared to your life and the others around you.
thx guys - will start looking for subframe conns (once I get the body repaird, and the head gaskets replaced...)
