I had my Sprint dash pad done by JustDashes back in 02. Back then black was $400 and color match was another $40. I also wanted the real thing. For the money, I was not completely satisfied. While few people would ever notice, the edges are not as sharp as the original.
My uncle did his own... I thought it turned out great. He went to the local materials store and got some high quality black vinyl. Then he stretched it slowly over the old pad. He just worked it carefully and slowly to get it tight.
Ya know, these cars were, dare I say it... Cheap. Sometimes there is something to be said for not going back exactly as stock. My uncle's dash is not as "sharp edged" as the thin vinyl film that passed for a dash originally... However the new vinyl is much higher quality and, after he finally got all the corners stretched, looks better than stock IMO.
