I think a one-piece would be nicer, but doubt I could find a good fitting one. I don't care if it is 2-piece. As long as all the floor is covered with some kind of fluffy material, other than dog hair
Both my 71 Grabber and 74 2-Door came with two piece carpets. My 74 still has the original carpet ... My Grabber currently has a new 2-piece carpet installed for originality.
Mine was 2 piece for 74 comet from lynn on ebay, I got 80/20 loop, front back section was stitched also.
I have a '70 and this was my concern. Has anyone installed a good-fitting carpet in a '69 1/2 or '70?
My '74 Grabber was a 2 piece cut pile carpet also. The front half of that carpet is in my '72 now. The problem with the '69.5/'70 cars is the transmission tunnel is not as tall. Common sense tells me that a pre formed carpet for '71 and up cars would be loose fitting around the trans tunnel on '70 cars, although I have yet to try it and new carpet is still a ways off for my '69.5.
I'm not sure when they started the 1 piece. Maybe it was a '76-'77 thing? I don't have a '75 to compare.
I bought mine from SS classic warehouse, because of the price and free shipping. They are ACC and I will find out tomorrow if they fit. He orders directly from ACC and the carpet is manufactured within 48 hours and sent directly to your address, really cool .
Yeah, let me know. I left a message for Lynn today and maybe will get to talk to her tomorrow. I want to get this ordered in the next week or 2...
The carpets fit nicely , yes you can buy direct from ACC but the prices were crazy last time I looked. Pictures here
