I feel lucky I got a grabber hood from maverickmaniac fairly cheap, took it home to Mexico, got a good bodyman change the frame and work all imperfections and match paint it to my car's color for 2500 pesos or about 205 dollars and it came back unbeliavable perfect. There is no way anyone would be able to tell it had all that work done to it

I think your hood is definitely salvageable but its going to be one of those projects that is only cost effective if you do it yourself. I agree that the metal can be worked correctly with the right tools and techniques.

I pride myself on being able to fix any panel on any car. Hoods are about the hardest, roofs are hard too. But that hood would take alot of time to make into a nice piece. Dont trash it, someone might be able to do something with it.

put an ad on craigs list, lots of hungry people out there trying to pay the bills, ask for a reference of previous work. should be easy. theres body puller type stingers that can get the dent out without having to rip it apart. although unless you get it done cheap, you will pay near as much as finding a streight one. usually 500-600.00

There is a Grabber Hood for sale under Maverick Parts For Sale on this forum. The skin looks like it would be useable after some sand blasting.

Several things here to consider. And I am a 30 year bodyman by trade. that skin is buckled to the point that the metal is streched and will require shrinking w/heat by an experienced bodyman.
Do not use water in the shrinking process, it tempers the metal making it very hard and brittle.
Second the subframe is also buckled and both would have to be pulled properly, not just beat out... The problem here is that they are bonded togeather during assy, and this has to be duplicated during the repair process or it will not hold up .

Based only on your photos, I would charge you 10-12 hrs to repair that and @ 40.00/hr , I would think you could fine a nice used hood for that price or go with the carbon fiber unit.

No matter how well its repaired...it will always be a repaired panel..

I recently saw a hood that someone tried to "lightly" sandblast the underside....all it was good for after that was washing clothes on.
