I am actually working on the Drag-N-Fly Project. The 302 is at the machine shop. The body is presently sitting at the same undisclosed location as viewed by satellite.
I like it. Needs sidepipes and shackles, maybe some fur seat covers and a big ol American flag fading into an Eagles head down each side with stars trailing out back. OH! And a blower! Then it would be perfect.
If I had a maverick and $1500 laying around... I still wouldn't buy that kit. I have several square yards of fake bear fur.
It's so much an ugly kit as it seems incomplete. There are no side effects or additional add ons? Just a nose and a ramp? It should have a replacement hood with a scoop, side mouldings perhaps with a hole for side exit exhaust, air dams, side scoops or something and rear panel redesigned. The Maverick tail lights are tiny and skinny unlike the Comets which fill out the panel nicely. If you're going to install a body kit you may as well go all out.
It's ugly, stupid, and it was not a factory option. so why do some people get so excited about it??...
Leather upholstery wasn't a factory option and neither was a 351 with a 5 speed but they both kick much ass. Factory does not always=good either.
