Swapping some Grabber parts onto my 71 before she goes in for paint and bodywork, and the sport mirrors are on the menu for today. I used the fix posted around here to remove floppiness in the passenger mirror, but when I cracked open the driver’s side mirror off of my donor car, I noticed that the cables were snapped. Now, I don’t really feel like tracking down the proper cables and connectors to fix it, nor do I particularly want to drill a big hole in my door panel for the controller. Has anyone heard of someone converting the driver mirror to a manual adjust, like the passenger mirror is? I feel as though that would be a better option.
    Thanks!

I see no way to have the mirror hold it's adjustment once the cables are all removed.

You are in luck....repop mirrors are now available.

    Agreed with Craig.

My best rigging ability tells me one could probably use small hose clamp(s) to bundle cables tightly, thus making mirror somewhat stable. With correct cable tension, would be similar to a manual. Problem is the pigtail would still need to be inside door.

Any Craig Selvey approved places you could point me to to get these repop mirrors?
