Drivers side cowl vent repair complete

    Well the passengers side is just about done now. I'm real happy with the way the new vent turned out. I have cleaned up the base of the cowl with Metal Ready and just have to weld the vent in place. First pic is now, second pic is before.

    Stupid severe weather... :mad: Had to move all the cars (except the poor defenseless 77) in the garage last night instead of finishing up the cowl... :(

    My mav got to stay in the car port out of the rain and hail the grand am had to stay out in it all :) because I was asleep and my mother can`t start my mav or make it go any way because the way I have the shifter set up it go`s 12DNRP insted of PRND21 :p

    Ok, the cowl repairs are completely done, just have to seal it up and weld the top back on. I welded in the vent the other night, and tonight I patched a couple of small rust holes on the drivers side of the cowl. One was up by the base of the windsheld, fortunately not touching it. The other was in the piece of metal that extends vertically from the cowl to the floor behind the fender. That one was obviously from the vent leaking, I'm thinking the one at the base of the windsheild was probably from a leaky windsheild gasket.
