I WILL get some air under the tire(s) this season. I leave at 4000 rpm and will have a set of 5.43's in the bum. The weight box is going back in the trunk as we have found ways to get the car under the 2530 minimum. These 200" motors ROCK!!

mav 9611. not in this part of the country. sportsman and pro can run tranny brakes, just no throttle stops or delay boxes. however i footbrake it. seen too many trannybrake problems.:)

if you say it Stephen :hmmm: , then I believe you :yup:

I have noticed watching alot of wheelstanding cars that (IMO) the wheelstand from a tran's brake is much difference than a wheelstand on foot brake.
In the video....was the wheelstand against the mustang on footbrake?

I convert around 5000 rpm's...I' launch at 4500...I've never tried footin at that kinda rpm's but I would imagine I'd pull the wheels for a longer distance launching at about 2500...same height though:D
The guy in the Mustang...weekend before last I gave him 2 tenths on the tree let him do his wheelstand... toyed with him at the 330 then took him to the woodshed...a little Mav/Comet payback;) ...poor pony just didn't have quite enough nitrous:p

Man around here 4.88's are nothing, most guy's run 5.13's and up.My buddy rob's Camaro has 5.86's in it all street cars.Keep in mind these are all weekend warriors,Tony drives his to work but it's only 15 minutes from his house, and the big cruise spot in Niagara Falls is only 20 miutes away and there is no highways we have to travel on just back roads.Tony shifts his car at 8200 rpm so running for 20 minutes at 3800 is a joke for his car.Like he says NASCAR runs at a 7000 rpm average for 500 miles if you have good parts it won't break.Heck i put a set of 3.91's in my 64 and it felt like such a turd i had to put the 4.56's back in.Derek.
