Howdy all. Thanks for the add. I have been restoring cars for myself and others for 35 years. Grew up in a body shop then built the #etekrestorations shop at home in 2006. Current project is this 1964 Comet Convertible. It's got plenty of rust but I've saved worse. All the trim and pieces are there, just need love. Original owner family. Hope you enjoys the process!
This message board is primarily for 1971-1977 Mercury Comets....those that are like the 1970-1099 Ford Maverick.

Welcome to the Maverick-Comet forums. You will get notice this forum is primarily Ford : Comets' and Mavericks post-1969 although the engines, mechanicals and body build features are all directly evolved from your 64. It's rare to find a survivor from '64 that retains the fragile SS trim and cast trim pieces the early cars were wrapped in. From the 4 lug wheels I, hope it retains the 170 or 200 small block six . Early Comet related sites to check out are FordSixPerformance - with lots of parts sources and basic info on 60's and 70's Ford Comets, Falcons, Mavericks, Mustangs etc. . and TheFordFalconNews (TFFN) only deals with 60's Falcons and Comets. https://fordsix.com// http://www.tffn.net/phpBB3/ I have an early Comet with all 70's MAverick/Comet 250 Six, Toploader , DS, 8" rear axle, front spindles and disc Brakes. A true junkyard rodent hotel- rescue, it was worth rebuilding because it also had retained the stainless and cast trim parts when abandoned. Have fun 61 Comet ..
