    Welcome to owning a Maverick.

    :scratchchin:

The factory starter does fit fine. It's very close, but it works.

    Fuel Pump

Check the price on the F-150 pump and also the 1987-89 Lincoln Contential had a frame mounted pump and filter. I would use the one that is cheapest.

The MPH should tell you that's definitely not 1/4 mile.

If he's was running 8.70's in the 1/4 and getting 30 mpg, I think he could teach us all a thing or two!! :rofl2:

As for my 2.3 project, just been at a stand still for a while. I have everything to finish it, I've just been so busy I haven't had the time. Just a matter of assembly at this point.

That ET and mph are very close to mine, and I am running a 351 that is warmed over, but not optimized ( needs better heads and more compression) ... pretty impressive for a four cylinder.

There should be a tech article made on this conversion complete with a list of parts used. This is fascinating. I would love to do this to my Comet.

    Fuel Pump

The 1986-88 Lincoln Cont. Had a frame mounted fuel pump and they were injected.

I've been so busy, I haven't had time to touch it. Maybe I'll mess with it this weekend.
