I will order the MS and harness this weekend. I have a few more days of a crazy work schedule and after that my main focus will be to get the car ready for the race, starting with the EFI conversion.

I have the fuel pump, fuel filters and fuel lines and adapters for the fuel system.
I have the efi intake manifold. the acufab throttle body and LC1 wideband O2 sensor.

I need to keep the car going sine it's my daily driver until I'm ready to do the intake swap. I should be able to hook up the fuel system and do all the wiring and keep the car driving.

If you are assembling the kit yourself make sure you get the JimStim when you order the kit.(I reccomend getting the pre assembled version)
Heck in all honestly get the JimStim anyways and make sure you get the power supply with it, that way when you do the initial setups on your computer you will have an easier time with it.

I ordered everything that I think I need.
I got the basic simulator since the JimStim is for other types of ignition systems. But I can always return that one and get JimStim if there is an advantage.

I wonder if I'm gonna run into trouble with these large injectors I have. They are good for when I go with my supercharger but for now I think I may have to get smaller ones. These are 60 lb injectors I have right now.

I would think the injectors should work fine for you, just adjust the pressure accordingly.

I was concerned about using too small of injectors , but if I need more fuel I can crank the pressure up as needed. should work both ways(to a point- within reason)

I assuming your going to run sefi atleast in the near future since you have both the MS3x and the wiring. Have you figured out what you are going too do for both a crank/camshaft trigger?

I would have thought you would have gotten the JimStim, the biggest reason for getting it is to duplicate the distributorless systems. The standard Megasquirt simulator only duplicates a distributor setup.

I saw this on their side about the original Stimulator:

You may have noticed that we now carry two types of Stimulators, this one and the JimStim. The classic Stim works for many traditional ignition setups - fuel control, most distributors, and Ford EDIS. The JimStim adds new functions to deal with newer distributorless ignitions, including being able to simulate missing tooth wheels and test multi-channel ignition outputs ignition outputs. We recommend this Stimulator for distributor ignitions without any exotic crank triggering, and the JimStim for best results if you have a distributorless ignition or missing tooth crank wheel.

What I understood from it is that I will be able to still simulate an EDIS system which is what I wanted to go with. What's your thoughts?

I haven't figured out if I'm going to try to go with a distributor or if I'm gonna try to get an EDIS setup. Haven't started scavenging parts for that yet.

It looks like I can use a 1980's mustang distributor and lock it out to use for the ignition side.

I will work my way up to that point. I think the EDIS is a pretty good and affordable way to go until I go COP.
I'm excited to get a look at everything. I'll have to do more reading on the EDIS and see what all the components I need.

Also, gotta source all my sensors still. I think that website had most of them but I think they were GM style, I'll look into that further too.

I saw this kit on ebay, wondering if I can somehow transfer that wheel onto my crank and hook the VR sensor up. Or would I have to go with a stock balancer.

You could either use that or possibly get one of the 36 tooth wheels from ebay or DIY and machine it too fit your balancer

mo, i have an explorer balancer with the 36 tooth wheel on it. we can take the wheel off and see what we need to do to get it on to your balancer and figure out how to mount a sensor.

sweet, let me see what I can do with what Bryant has. I still need the EDIS module and VR sensor.
