    I wouldn't cut them period, but that's me.

    Swapping them should help a bit, and I'd make plans to replace the springs if the problem persists, but I wouldn't cut them.

    You are assuming the springs are the only problem. It could be the perches, the saddles, the a-arms, control arms, different tires, shackles, sidepipes........or anything that could be causing this. I would not cut anything......just swap them and see what happens. If it is the same after swapping.....then it wasn't the springs.
