I remember some guy in my neighborhood had a really nice white with blue trim CobraII and we kept riding our bikes past it and trying to figure out what it was. Recently, after getting into mavericks, and talking about Mustang II front ends, I recalled that car and finally figured out what it was (I was only 7 or 8 at that time).

But the grocery getter MustangIIs were boring....

I actually like the Mustang II fastbacks without all the ground effects and gaudy 70's disco spoilers.....especially combined with those ridiculous little 13 and 14 inch wheels.

The Mach-1 versions were pretty cool looking...they kept it simple, without the over-the-top add-ons.

The "plain-Jane" fastbacks have some nice, simple clean lines....

but again, you definately have to lose the wienie wheels and tires.

I never really liked the Mustang IIs much.......Ford blew it in so many ways on them.....but the basic design is pretty sharp....just fix Ford's mistakes, and you can have a really nice looking, performing car.....

    and yes, I own one.... I just got a 75 Mach-1 project.

My son found a side-view pic of a Mustang II, and with a little photoshopping, showed me just what a difference a simple 4-to-5 lug conversion and some late-model wheels will do for a Mustang II's image....

I talked to Jayman about this awhile back. The Eleanor front airdam is wider than a Maverick as you would expect. But if you were to take a couple inches out of the middle it should work. Here's a rendering I did of the same idea. I've been cleaning it up in Photoshop for high res. copying.

I was having a problem with the server in the other post. Here's the rendering.

IM working on it. It's slow going but its getting there. Right now Im in the engine bay smoothing stuff out, already mounted the power brake booster, made a drop crossmember for the front radiator, cut the lip off the firewall, etc. It's coming along. Pretty soon I will start on the body work.

    Kinda...sorta...not really
