Is the hose a silicon rubber? Maybe it will conduct electricity if it is. I have silicone wiper blades, and will try it...
My maverick has a new shiny rubber hose, smooth to the touch, and I get 10.5 volts through it (14.0 to a ground). My 05 dodge truck has a dull rubber hose, feels rough to the touch (stock hose), and it only shows 5.0 volts. I think it is a high silicone rubber, cannot prove it, but that is my gut feeling. Also, no voltage from the battery hot to the tires...
yup, we'll look back and get a great laugh out of this...... but untill then, i am sooooo curiousity to know what causes this, lol. :bananaman
Interesting you say that, cause the deeper I pushed it into the rubber, the stronger the voltage... As the rubber dimpled, more of it contacted the probe giving me a stronger reading...
