    I've also got the stock distributor with a Pertronix Ignitor II and Flame Thrower coil. Works great, was inexpensive, quick and easy!

    To be honest, I have the MSD box, coil, and electronic distributor and I love them. The mav has never turned over so smooth. The points were killing me. Sorry I wouldn't ever go back.

    I have heard that you can run points with a good CD box, cuz the box sends the voltage directly to the coil. Since the points just act as a breaker when that happens, they last forever.
