nah just run 87 it will be fine! :p

yeah i was wondering what the heck you need a kick down for! just shift it down if you need too.. man are you that lazy :rofl2: ;)

shoot where is it 5 bucks! get me some!!!! right now 76 off the pump is 100 oct is $6.05! i got some 110 leaded at irwindale last weekend for $6.00 and if i get VP in the 5 gallon can its about 8.50 which is a total rip off!

now the funny thing is race gas hasn't gone up with all that has happened. i mean two years ago it was 4.25... but if they say 91 going to 5 bucks after this ordeal :49: i won't even blink putting race gas in my car!

    Erick,

I live in Westminster but I work in Golden, not too far from Bandimere. They have a great all-Ford show there in the summer. Once I get my '70 back together I want to take it out there. It was purchased from the show's sponsor, Phil Long Ford, 35 years ago and I'm sure they'd get a kick out seeing it restored.

The citgo here sells it's racegas(110 octane)for 4.65 per gal.If 87 octane catpee gets much more expensive(it got up to 3.40 during katrina)might as well build a 14:1 "street" motor.Funny thing was that the racegas price hasn't changed much all summer.

Does the oil pan hang any lower than the stock pan?

Yes it does a little bit, how much I'm not sure, but several people on here have used the same or similar pan and haven't had clearance problems. Maverick Man's car is slammed (lowered) with the same pan and his is fine.

That's cool...I might look in to a new oil pan later. I did save that part number so I don't buy the wrong one. THANKS for the info.
