I too say it depends on where you live and of course how well you know people and if you have any connections. Let me tell you, I called a shop to have my bench redone and it was about 200 bucks, that was if it was all one color and not special piping or anything flashy. Oh and I think that may of been with the material.... so I would say (I'm shooting a little high on this one) probably 300+ for the two front seats. Which is pretty good since it's a lot harder to due two buckets than a flat bench so. But I wish I lived in OK (oh the memories....) then I would probably sell you mine for what I paid for them at the junkyard, but their from a '01 so the fit isn't as easy. Oh and just as a question, what kind of seat belts do you guys have?

If you're using factory belts, I would carefully inspect them. The ones in my '74 Grabber snapped when I wrecked the car and I got thrown into the dash. They were kind of hard, almost brittle I would say from years in the sun.

No, but the fact is, seat belts breaking in a wreck is unacceptable, weight problem or not. I wasn't seriously hurt other then my head busted the rear view mirror and I either broke or badly jammed my fingers when the steering wheel was ripped out of my left hand. Don't know, never went to get it checked out.

Sounds like a pretty good impact, sorry to make fun, just my nature to try to always be humorous. I am working on my interior now so the seat belts are needing attention, I just haden't given it any thought yet. Still trying to get that dash looking the way I want and going to take them seats to a shop in Dallas to have redone. Don't know which one yet. When I find out what and who I will be sure to let you guys know of the progress either way.:drink:

The sun dry rots all material including seat belts. Almost any upholstery shop can reweave your belts with new material. My shop was around $10 a belt.

Either i'm slow or time flyes! Got an estimate today for $275.00 ea. Think i'll keep looking. I will also be needing the rear seat done after I cut it to fit around the remote ac unit i'm putting in back there. All not urgent at the moment though.

One kinda major issue I've got is that the seat belts (minus the shoulder strap which is useless as it doesn't buckle in anyway) in my car are gone. I found the latches for the front buckets in the trunk but they'd been ripped or cut off, and there's nothing else. Anyone know where I might be able to get some? Junk yard would be nice but I don't even see a hole where these could have been put originally! (whoever did this floor did a bang-up job sealing it to the rotten floorpans)

That's what I thought, but both floor sides are gone and I can't feel any holes through the new carpet, and don't have anything to go off of so I'm just not sure. I plan to jury rig something up as it's against the law to drive like I do (I just drape the shoulder thingy over me while I drive and hope a cop isn't too nosy), but I just can't seem to find what it originally connected to down there.

Look under the car for the holes where the bolts go. They should be obvious.
