European Maverick Emblems Available

i ordered one today, 28.17 and they are on backorder until march 14th

 

Picked up mine today, they are much bigger than I thought they would be. Either way, they are fricking cool!!

 

So my Ford dealer sister store calls me this morning tell me theyre not going to fool with getting those emblems for me...Cant get them for me. Of course this is a bunch of BS, so I talked to my parts manager here who worked Ford parts for 12 years. He called them, they said yea they cant get them the only place that has them is a Puerto Rican depot and they will hit them with 50% jack in price and blah blah blah. So my manager calls the local competitor, guess what I've got 2 emblems coming, Ford should be recieving there shipment on 03/03/10 so anybody that has them on order should be getting them about a week after that. Im not ordering crap from our Ford store and Im going to tell our Fixed Ops director that next time I see him, and I got a bunch of stuff to order for my Cobra engine. Douche bags!

 

Could one of you guys that already have them, give me the dimensions? Im talking to a guy about cutting these out on a water jet. That way if Ford runs out we got options!

 

Did we find out if there is any other badges or emblems inside or out of Euro-Mav?

 

My parts guy thinks it'll be a dead part. There is no stock showing anywhare in North America. He was amazed they would have them in the first place, and was going to keep an eye on the stock, to see if anything shows up.

I think that is what one of my parts guy meant by "if the part number is still open, then you should be able to get the part".

Never in my wildest dreams did I believe that there were this few in stock in North America. I thought that once I posted the part number, everyone would have emblems for years to come.

I guess we can only hope that they do, in fact, make more.

 

Got mine from Great Britian today. My son is stationed there in the US Navy. He went to the local Ford Dealer got me one. Took 4 days to get here. Not bad via the US mail.

A different colored backing than the blue that I got but the same letters. Did they come from England with the same part number as the one I listed in the first post of this thread? Curious to know if England has a different number.

 

I have got to get one more set so I can spell out my nickname

MAVERICK MIKE, all the letters are sloped just perfect for it. Now to figure out were to put it

 

the way the lettering is, it looks like an inside window sticker...
