    Im curious if this comet would have originally come from the factory with this white pin stripping.? Im a stickler for accurate factory details for my resto. Thanks

    Doesn't look like a factory pin stripe I've seen on any Ford...

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    Some Mavericks/Comets did have factory pin stripes....but that doesn't look like it. Those look like they were masked off and spray painted on.

    Are you putting this car back to "bone stock" original?

    It looks similar to what mine had on it but it's hard to tell, mine was well weathered and covered in rattle can primer. I'll get up in the attic and see if I can get decent pictures of it.

    Here's a better picture of it. It definatly looks hand panited I see brush strokes. Thanks for the help!

    Yes Im shooting for bone stock as it was in the showroom.

    The door stripes looks factory. The fender stripe does not.
