I used the ones on my '72 to hook a chain to, to drag my friend's '89 Toyota Carolla about 6 miles back to his house when it broke down! We got it running again (bad coil) and he sold the car for $75! I probably should have bought it...
now thats just stupid... thats like some guy at the shelby meet trying to sell me some stock 15 inch steelies just becuase they had the right PN# number for 100 each! one thing i learned on this post is i didn't know that big bumber cars didn't have them.. guess i have to go home and look either way that 2 less pounds on my car...
I suppose they weren't really made to fit with aftermarket dual exhaust ... if they clang or rattle when I get the engine running tomorrow I'll have to remove them.
That is the original tank. The local radiator shop hot tanked and sealed it and I painted it with Eastwood Gas Tank paint. Obviously it's a tight fit for the exhaust on the driver side ....
I had that problem when I swapped the dual exaust from my '74 onto my '72. A little hammering took care of it on mine, but obviously you wouldn't do that to a show car.
