The Maverick Connection is a middle-man, I am sure he is waiting on the manufacturer or distributor.

Is that what it takes to run 1.30 60' times? Jeez. I'm at about half that and running 1.27-1.31 depending on the weather. But that's on slicks, not on drag or street radials. Just doesn't make sense to me to want a race car and it have to run street tires but I guess I am old school.

Sounds like a lot of planning will need to be done to make it work. And for SURE a dyno session so that you know what converter it'll need. No doubt they work...seen it myself...just wondered how and why. Roots and Screw blowers are also tied to the crank, more RPM=more boost if it's set up right, and throttle response is instantenous. Not knocking a centrifugal at all. I just don't know much about them. All I know is roots/screw and turbos. The one centrifugal...actually two....car I've seen (one is a '70 Camaro on 16x33's and the other is a '71 GMC truck on 14x32s) they both run like a raped ape. But they seem to lack the low end. Once they're moving and RPM starts to climb, they FLY...just takes a split second or two. The camaro...traction is nonexistant because of the "hit". Sounds like it's just mismatched.

Well, in the class I plan on competing in, there is a tire size limit (275X60X15, which is about 9.5 inches wide) and you have to run a drag radial. It makes it fun, the tire is the limiting factor. It comes down to who can tune their car to the track conditions more effectively.

Guys run in the 7.60 - 8.20 range in Wild Street. I don't think this combo will run that, I need a bigger blower, engine, and heads (this engine was supposed to be for another class, but decided to move up so I can run a data logger, crank trigger, digitl fuel injection and radials). If it goes 1.30 60 ft's with no wheelie bars on drag radials that are 9.5 inches wide, I'll be happy.

Yes, I'm going to try and make it out there on Saturday, but as you can see, I have a lot of work to do on the car! Call me, bro.

Hey guys, does anybody know, or can anybody measure their Maverick Grill? I'm trying to buy some plastic to put behind the grill and I need some dimensions.

This sounds like an 1/8th mile car with a really short gear. 1/4 mile cars require a taller gear and therefore more power to get in the 1.3's with the taller gearing. :thumbs2:

Oh yeah.. this is a SAWEET build BTW... Awesome!
