That is the exact color scheme that my uncle ordered new in 1971 for his Mach 1. Gorgeous car ... I always loved it.

I was so not happy with him for selling it and not letting me have the chance to hand him $$$$ for it ... still am .

 

That looks like a great, very solid car... congrads on finding it. I'd love to see the grabber stripes in silver along the side, would look very sharp!

 

The body shop doing the work are customers and friends of mine. They do not do restorations or old auto. They made the exception because they could not find any rust or rot anywhere on the car. Just tons of small dings everywhere plus the right side door was previously hit and had some filler in it. All the filler was removed and the door was straighten out. Im very impressed with the body work they are doing. The car should be very straight. I might just have to build a garage just to keep it in (even thought Im tring to move LOL).
