My car came home on a tow truck with much disassembly and missing pieces....and WRONG pieces. I spent a lot of time sorting it all out (was my first Mav/Comet) and finding parts. If you can drive that home and have no/little rust, that is good. I would pour water down the cowl before purchase, if you are still on that side of the deal.....just because.

I installed a mirror & some gorilla tape and you have to look REAL close to see the slightest of a scratch.(y)

Back in the '80s I had a Double Mistake(M-II), that was hit so hard on passenger side, the top had a wrinkle in it(if there are pictures, I have no idea where they are). I had someone hold the door handle on outside and I kicked the door open. Then beat the door jamb and door with a 4 lb hammer so it would close again. Got it working good as day one, but door was crushed so badly the window would not roll down more than maybe 3". A good door would no longer fit and I wasn't about to try to cut the jamb. Drove it over a year before finally finding another in need of a engine. Yanked engine, trans and 8" rear, junked the body.

My 74 is all finished except one thing, apparently it was hit on the right rear at some point and the bumper isolators are pushed over about an inch to the left, Can't seem to find a body shop that wants to take on putting it in the frame machine and pulling these back into place for me. I may have to try the hammer method as well.
