It is a very cool set up! I have the Fat-Man kit, it is also a strut type front end, but I like you rk member much better. But mine should be a nice driver, not going for the racer.

what is the motor mount setup in that thing? And if the kit uses SN95 Mustang parts, why is the strut/shock assembly Mav specific? Or is it the upper mount is Mav specific?

From what I understand, the strut is the Maverick specific part that they built just for the Maverick. The SN95 stuff refers to the spindles. There is an adjustable caster a arm that I am in the process of finding out about as well. You can see the motor mounts in at least one of the pictures, they come up from the K member.

thanks! I saw the motor mounts, and I was wondering what type of mount are they going to use to mount to the motor? And was there going to be any adjustablility within that mount?
    thank again....

We haven't picked our motor mount yet. I'm waiting until you do all the research on it and then tell us which one is best. :burnout: Anyhow, we aren't to that point yet. So far all we have done is get the exterior paint, sonic check the block and choose heads and other parts. I'll be making a parts order this week or next. We will be using at least a mid plate for sure.

Okay, I have the final prices. Where did you get those ones? The complete kit price is $2377 for fox type spindles and $2477 for SN95 type spindles. The struts are included in that price. You can get a caster adjustable a-arm which would add on another $100 if that was of neccessity to you. The k member is the same as the 64-70 Mustang, the struts and a-arms are similar, but Maverick specific. And then whatever brakes you choose, so ~$3000. It is technically bolt-on, the only hard part is getting the old stuff unbolted!

Which spindles did you go with? Anyone know what the advantages are of the SN95 over Fox Spindles?

We went with the fox spindles. They are lighter for drag racing. The SN95 spindles allow you to use factory 13" brakes and ABS.

Sarah, was this mocked up with an engine? It appears this setup will require the use of a rear sump oil pan, correct?

Yes, rear sump pan will be needed(one of the advantages). They have used that K member in quite a few Mustangs so far, just never a Maverick. It has not had a motor in it yet, it will be a 393C.
