    Welcome to the family! MY first one was a 77 302,PS,PB car. Its the one that got me hooked on them. Now about 30 cars later I am cutting my stable down to one.     Okay so just got it home. Still some heating issues will take care of thst sunday.

    The thing steers like a boat very loose. neighbor(owned a comet) noticed the steering box is moving/loose. Is this the reason we are so loose?

    Could be many things on a vehicle that is 40 years old. I would jack it up and check the entire front suspension like tie rod ends, idler arm ball joints and repair as needed.
