first drive with new gears

    Hawko - For a comparison, I had a '79 stang with a well 100K mile stock '82 2bbl 302 with a 4 speed and 3.73 rear behind it and ran a 14.7. That 15.99 should be completely doable with the setup you described. (y)

    Gear swap is the best bang for the buck IMO.

    Yep. The 3.73 gear was the only upgrade from stock in the '82 drive train I had swapped into the 79 stang I mentioned above.
