Dang Cody! I just found this thread. Good job on the floor patch replacement. Praying mine aren't going to be that bad when I manage to get the fricking padding removed to see. Someone used some kind of spray on foam...and glued the carpet onto it...lol
Hope not... as I am not using a chemical to remove it. So... tempted to take the car somewhere and pay to have it blasted... lol Would save me from having to buy a soda blaster, car rotissere, power washer to wash the soda off with, spray gun, paint. And hand sanding tools. But wouldn't be as rewarding for sure. I will sleep on it
i was wondering what all could cause the rust in my floorpans from the front of my front seats clear up the firewall almost as high as the dash such as cody had if anyone could help? and while we are talking replacing pans, anyone have ideas on a trunk pan for a 73 mav besides flat trunking it?
mustang stuff might work and mine was only rusted out up to the torq. boxs maybe ur cowl is leaking or windshield
I just ordered a set of the floor pans, as I was getting ready to install new carpet and a roll cage and found some rusted through spots in the floor that I didn't know were there. Are the seat belt mounting holes in these replacement sections?
when i put my cage in i noticed mine was VERY THIN...and after i seen this last week there was a brand new set here locally for sale for 200, got em for 100 bucks. (cheapest i could get to the door was way over 200) so i assume we should just get mustang seat tracks now?
mine didnt have any carpet it had the rubber matting and was all to pieces.... it fit in the trash pretty good
